Welcome to our beginners garment making Course. You can do this course either by attending a class at the Harborne Academy, Birmingham or through one to one tuition where I will teach you in your home using one of our machines. If you would like to go on the course please compete the paypal payment details just below. If you would like one to one tuition contact me and we will arrange time and dates. The price for each teaching method is £64 pounds.

Do you want to learn to make your own garments? Then this class is for you? Dorcas Designs Sewing: Tutor: Veronica Baxter
This course is designed for those who have already completed the four week 'Absolute Beginners' sewing course, or you are confident at using a sewing machine and using different stiches. If you want to develop your sewing skills to the next level this course is for you.
In this course you will be learning how to make your own garment, from pattern cutting to finish. Sewing machines are provided for you to work on.
The course will include:
· Pattern Cutting
· How to correctly take your measurements
· How to determine your correct size from pattern measurements
· How to adjust your pattern to fit better
· How to cut your fabric
· How to understand the sewing pattern.
· Creating seams and hems
· You will also be making a simple top
