Hello and welcome to my website Dorcas Designs.  My name is Veronica Baxter, I am a seamstress and dressmaker, the founder of Dorcas Designs.  I have a passion for sewing and began many years ago with making dresses, cushion covers, bible bags and curtains.   I also love to sew and machine embroider various articles, some of which have been sold to the Christian bookshop.    I am also  happy to take on small everyday dressmaking projects from my home.

Alterations

Alterations is another popular service I offer, doing clothing alterations to every day clothing.   I specialise in altering men's as well as ladies clothing.  From shortening trousers, altering skirts, dresses to replacing a zip.   To keep my prices down I work from home in Birmingham.   A deposit of 50% is required in advance, of the total cost of altering the garment.   The remaining balance to be paid upon receiving the finished garment.
